Soft skills have become an essential part of the student life in today’s competitive world. The title conceives a lot many sub titles which together turn out to be the most effective virtues of one’s personality. In today’s cooperate world employees and employers both have to give presentation each new day hence it becomes important for them to learn about the general basics of presentation skills.

Keeping the same objective in mind the minds craft club of Metas Adventist college, Surat arranged a seminar for their first-year management students. To take this expert session, we invited a guest, Ms Yamini Sharma to share her expertise on to the same. Ms Yamini Sharma is an image consultant and a soft skill trainer. The session started by 10.30 a.m. the opening speech was given by Khushboo Singhania of FYBBA. The guest was given a welcome by Ms Sneha Nandwani.

The Participants were able to get this takeways :

• Identify the various key areas that are judged during a presentation.
• To know about appropriate body language and the way of giving a presentation (communication skills during a presentation)
• To know about various Preparation Strategies before a presentation (how the content should be written)
• Determine the importance of correct appearance for presentation.
• Prepare for a presentation keeping in mind the above key areas.

The students were also given an activity to perform. The session proved to be enlightening for everyone. Lastly the thanking speech was given by Mridul Baid (FY BBA). The event successfully ended with the participation of the volunteers, the support of the faculty and the guidance of the management.
