    REPORT ON – WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY

    PARTICIPANTS:  105 Students of BBA and BCom

    METAS Adventist College has celebrated a “WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY” on 15th July 2022. The World Youth Skills Day is celebrated every year on July 15 to highlight the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship. In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared 15 July as World Youth Skills Day, to celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.

    METAS Adventist college management and faculties have planned a session on skill development. The session was conducted by an esteem speaker Ms. Nikita Samtani, a founder of Ace Potential Unleashed. The session had begun by welcoming the speaker with flowers and with introduction speech by Mr. Charan Pillai, student of TYBBA. The speaker had talked about the importance of communication in today’s world of globalization. She also had given certain tips to appear for the interviews and how to crack the interviews when you go in a practical world. All the participants were really beneficial by gaining knowledge about the importance of communication and tips for preparing for interviews in the corporate world. The session was attended by approx 105 participants comprising students and faculty members from the college. At last the session was concluded with the vote of thanks speech by Ms. Sable Vincent, student of SYBBA and special appreciation message from Mr. Khirod Sir and Mr. SyamPrasad Sir from the administrative body.

    CONCLUSION:  With whole hearted support from our President Sir Dr. S. Eliah, Executive Vice- President Sir Dr. N. Mohan Rao, Student Dean Sir Mr Subhakar Prasad, Administrative staff members, technical in-charge, photography team, dear students etc., the event was successfully completed around 12:30 pm.   The event was highly appreciated by every members of the METAS family. The event will helpful for all students in their journey for career development. METAS Adventist College always believes in educational, technical, social and holistic development of students.
